סָפַר, סַפְרָאI m. = h. סוֹפֵר, 1) scribe, writer of documents; copyist. Targ. Jer. 36:20, sq.; a. fr.Ab. Zar.9a, v. בַּצִּירָא, Ib. 10a v. דַּוְקָנָא.
